“Why does this happen to me always?”, “Oh come on!! Not again!!”, “I’m no more shocked. Believe me!”, “Oh! Noice”. This is how the slope or the upside down of the roller coaster feels like in life, only to get to the stable ground.
We get lost in our own past and are scared of something similar repeating in the present or the near future (or shall I say, the upcoming present?). But guess what, neither us nor the situations we’re currently in are the same. Even if we ever find ourselves in a similar spaces, we now know how to handle them better and pick ourselves up. We definitely outgrew those feelings but sometimes, everything is heavy and it’s totally fine. It’s now a part of us. In short, yin to the yang and vice versa
How often do we find ourselves stuck in an infinite loop of the current responsibilities and the future uncertainties? We were never in control of certain aspects and yet spoil our present and the upcoming present even before it blossoms naturally. But, what if we foresaw our future positivity? Would we still pursue what we have envisioned or would we sit back and not work for it? What if the path we’ve chosen isn’t resulting in something positive or turns out to be moot? What then? Would we give up considering that the grapes were sour? Or would we strive better to turn it to the best, by moving forward with the 3Ps (Patience, Persistence and Perseverance), along with a pinch of trust and a dash of hope? Now, that is something to introspect on.
The truth is, life was never certain and it will remain uncertain and unpredictable. There’s no guarantee or a warranty here. But the best part is, there’s still beauty in ambiguity. Some kind of adrenaline rush in uncertainty. Maybe we value our achievements because of them unfolding in the divine timing, the way they were always destined to unwind. Maybe feeling wonderful and not-so-wonderful are both equally important. Maybe, just maybe, a constant not-so-wonderful isn’t demotivating after all. And the constant wonderful is something which would leave no space for any improvement whatsoever. Had we not been the higher power itself if we were perfect all the time? But us, with our imperfections, idiosyncrasies, quirks and emotions shining through our eyes is what makes us human.
So why worry? We either get what we want or we get the lessons from what we thought we needed. The point is, we are undoubtedly getting something out of it. In the end, we get every ounce of what we deserve. The nature goes through the seasons too and that’s what makes it so beautiful and wonderful.
In short, the past could be messy and the future could be volatile, but this moment is simple and safe. No amount of past data could build a predictive model here but your intentions, beliefs and inner-work definitely shape your reality
